We enjoy a sweet goodie after our evening meal. When we went shopping this week I picked up a bag of plain M&M’s and told Earl that I would make some cookies as they would last longer than a bag of M&M’s. So today I got up and made some M&M Cookies. I found this recipe on the back of the bag of plain M&M’s. These cookies are chock full of M&M’s.
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
2/3 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup sugar
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1 ¼ teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 ¾ cups M&M’s Milk Chocolate Candies
In a large bowl, cream butter and both sugars until well blended. Add egg and vanilla extract and mix to combine.
In a separate bowl, sift the flour, baking soda and salt together. Slowly add these ingredients into the butter mixture and stir to combine. Fold in the M&M’S and chill the dough for 1 hour, or overnight.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoon onto a lightly greased tray (or a tray lined with parchment paper) about 2 inches apart. Bake for 8-10 minutes for chewy cookies or 12-14 minutes for crispy cookies
